I downloaded El Capitan before i came up to college and boy was that a bad idea, It basically destroyed any performance i had on my laptop and forced me to use my rebot CD that came with ym computer and i had to upgrade back to Snow Leopard (which IMO is the best OS theyve ever released, maybe close to Lion) but i will never upgrade again to these free garbage OS. Although id rather not pay for an OS, its nice to know some ACTUAL work went into it rather than slowing poeples computers but making it look "pretty". All youre doing is driving customers away, and while no one from apple is going to read this, i hope other consumers follow in my footsteps so apple WILL know that we are NOT happy.
